zAppliance system is the only product on the market that can be used for both Virtual Tape Storage and Tape Vault Migrations needs. zAppliance System features a customizable Virtual Tape Solution emulating 3480, 3490, 3490E, and 3590 tapes with compression and AES-256 encryption standard. zAppliance is a scalable solution to accommodate all your mainframe virtual tape needs. All zAppliance systems provide the capability to either synchronously or asynchronously store tape images offsite. zAppliance comes in three different configurations to fit your corporate needs.

zASVT

Entry option solution for the enterprise looking for more flexibility and speed. zASVT is a single 1 or 2 U rack mounted appliance, that integrates virtual tape emulation and secured virtual tape storage. Minimum of 4 active virtual tape drives, with the capability of defining 32 units. Multiple control units and LPARs are supported as well as segregated or shared tape vaults.

zASVT-M

Ideal solution for the client ready for a mid-range box, but also looking to expand the robustness of their operations. The zASVT-M solution is designed for the enterprise that has either expanded storage needs or expanded unit address needs. zASVT-M supports up to 256 defined units and up to 64 active devices, while supporting multiple CPUs and LPARs.

zASVT-1024

zASVT-1024 is a state-of-the-art, extended capability solution. The zASVT-1024 is a large scale, multiple control unit device with multiple physical connections, multiple logical control units, multiple CPUs, multiple LPARs, and up to 1024 tape devices.

One aspect of the preparation for disaster recovery involves the generation and verification of an up-to-date and complete set of backup tapes. That is why we designed zAppliance System for keeping your backup tapes and backup machine up-to-date and ready to go in the event of an outage of your mainframe.

Because it is a CLOUD solution, it's capable of dramatically simplifying your DR/BC procedures. zAppliance System in the CLOUD will store all of your backup data and make it available to you whenever you need.
